St. Francis of Assisi

This century old rectory home was completely renovated to include multi-suite private living quarters for up to five priests plus guest, as well as a Parish Operations Centre on the Basement and Ground Floors.  The building was made accessible by adding a new elevator shaft in the newly enclosed Entry Lobby space which was converted from a previously unused gap between the Church and the Rectory, and serves two new barrier-free suites.  Other work included asbestos abatement, structural repairs, new windows, new fire alarm system, modern fixtures and finishes integrated into restored historic detailing resulting in a highly functional, comfortable, European-like environment.  A new barrier-free washroom was added to the Nave of the Church as well as other life safety improvements on the Church.
